Tech-Heater is a self-regulating heating cable designed for various applications such as snow melting, freeze protection, and temperature maintenance.

Self-regulating system

The cable incorporates multiple semiconductive ceramic heating elements that automatically adjust their heat output in response to temperature changes.

World’s First, Made in Japan

TECHEATER® is the world’s first heating cable that uses semiconductor ceramics as its heating element. It is manufactured in Japan to ensure stable quality and reliable supply.
Applicable for industrial, residential, and commercial use, TECHEATER® offers a wide range of tailor-designed solutions.

Feature 1: High Energy Efficiency

Thanks to the PTC* ceramic heating element, the output automatically adjusts itself in response to ambient temperature changes.
As the temperature rises, electrical resistance increases and reduces the current flow; when the temperature drops, the resistance decreases, allowing more current to flow.
This mechanism reduces power consumption and delivers high energy efficiency.
*PTC stands for Positive Temperature Coefficient.
PTC ceramics exhibit a characteristic in which their electrical resistance increases as the temperature rises.

Future 2: Safety

There is no risk of overheating.
Even without a thermostat, the heater will not undergo abnormal temperature rise or burnout.
It also does not overheat when heater sections come into contact, allowing installation with overlapping layers.

Feature 3: High Flexibility

Because it is a parallel-circuit heater, it can be cut to any desired length for use.
The cable is highly flexible, making it easy to install around steps, complex piping, and fittings.
There are both 100V and 200V specifications.
The 100V model is equipped with a power plug, allowing it to be used simply by plugging it into a standard household power outlet.

Feature 4: Adjustable Length

Tech Heater® can be cut to any desired length for use. It also allows for branching and extension.
*Such modifications are difficult with general heating wires.
*Installation and processing must be performed by a certified electrician.
*A dedicated insulation and sealing kit is required for installation.

Depending on the application and the required heat output, the most suitable specifications and installation methods can be selected.

Classification of Standard Products

For General Users
(For 100V with 1 m power cord, plug included)
This model can be used simply by plugging it into a household power outlet.
For Professional Use
(For 200V with 1 m power cord, no plug)
This model is for professional use and requires electrical installation work.
Bulk cable
(Compatible with both 100V and 200V, with 1 m power cord, no plug)
This is a long-length model. This model is for professional use and requires electrical installation work.
The heater length can be extended up to 50 m.
